The DREAM Series documents skywriting events from The 40 ACRES Archive by Sandy Williams IV. These skywritings pay homage to the memory and struggles of Freedmen communities, and acknowledge histories and social oppressions that are often unseen and paved over. The 40 ACRES Archive hosts events, performances, and installations at specific historical sites that contextually link our current social inequities to the failures of the US Reconstruction Era, in the decades following the Civil War.
